The Hungry Asian: Sneeze Breeze

I got my order from The Hungry Asian a while ago and only get around to swatching it now. Sneeze Breeze looks meh to me, but I guess I wanted to keep an open mind regarding this polish, especially because this polish has gotten plenty of likes from the community. Turns out it looks good.

Application is hard. I suppose it is because of all the glitters. You simply can't get the brush down to your cuticles with each strokes, or to the side of your nails. I tried to get them all, but as you can tell from my ring finger, I got some glitters on my cuticles, and I can't remove them with the remover. I had on 3 coats.

The polish dries matte and rough, so I put on 2 coats of Seche Vite. My polish is now super thick. Plus I broke two nails the day before so all my nails are shorten to nubs.

What do you think of this polish, Yay, or Nay?

I've still got other polishes from The Hungry Asian.. I'm slowly making my way to them..

Stamping over OPI Dating a Royal

This is my second attempt with the stamping polishes I bought from China Glaze. I used China Glaze Passion, an antique gold polish, from the Romantique Collection. The base is OPI Dating a Royal. The stamping is so crisp and clear it looks wonderful!

I do want to try out my new bundle monster plates soon. I have yet to break it out!

Stamping over No Room for the Blues + Swatch

I just got my bundle monsters plates, and I also bought China Glaze Romantic Collection: Adore, Passion, Devotion, Cherish, Admire, since they came highly recommended as stamping polish, and frankly speaking, I need a good silver stamping polish!

So I had on OPI No Room For The Blues, which is a really awesome bright blue. I stamped over it with CG Devotion, a lavender metallic polish.

Below is the Swatch of No Room for the Blues. I took loads of pics, but turned out the rest look ugly, and I deleted my backup.

The stamping below looks bad, but I assure you that the polish works awesome as a stamping polish! I prob should try it with a darker base color.  This stamping is subtle, and not for me.

Been so busy between working and gaming. Lol. My bf introduced me a new game so I have been neglecting my nails recently. NOT that they had gone one day without polish/nail art anyway. My colleagues were all 'Oh, you change your polish everyday!' Haha. I do not, by the way.

Swatch: Elianto 04 (Egg Shell)

I love nude polishes! They always made my nails look so classy and demure. This is a swatch of Elianto 04 (Egg Shell). I wore it to work when I just started, not wanting to shock my boss with my crazy nails, first impressions and all that. Plus my a few of my nails broke so I had to shorten them to nubs. Boo!

Compared to Essie Topless and Barefoot, I think this polish is a shade darker than Essie's. Lalalala!

On to more pics!

What's your favorite nude color?

Honey Stars!!

Time to try out another Chalkboard Nails tutorial! This time I'm doing a StarFish Tutorial by ChalkBoard Nails. I wish I could say my stars look as neat as hers. This is done with a dotting tool as well.

My bf said they looked like honey stars (the yellow ones) and the pink ones became strawberry stars. Lol.

The yellow stars were done with China Glaze Lemon Fizz and the pink stars with OPI Pink Friday. Random dots were made around the stars with both colors.

I've included a pic of Essie Set in Stones over Elianto 29 (Blue Splash). They were made for each other. I swear, they are perrrrfect.

Swatch: Elianto 29 (Blue Splash)

This is a swatch for Elianto 29 (Blue Splash). I had made up my mind not to like this color until I had it on my nails.. and then I was like 'whoa! It looks pretty awesome!'. This is not a metallic, I think, but it is frosty. -.- I'm not sure I know what I am talking about. Nevermind, on to the pictures!

Zombie fingers again! (Above)

I've tried out a new tutorial for this nail art! It'll be up next!

Swatch: Barielle Blackened Beau

Another Barielle polish! I bought a total of three, and this is my second swatch. I've still got Myrza's Meadow. I got this because I saw a brilliant swatch online and decided to get it. This is a dark black jelly that has a crazy blue shimmer when the light hits. This is three coats. I have to say, I'm not very keen on dark/black colors, but I do love the blue shimmer. Now.. I need a proper silver polish to stamp over it....

Gradient Dots - Pink Version

Gradient Dots again! I do love this design. They are so versatile and easy to create! I dotted China Glaze Midnight Mission first, then tried to dot Elianto 09 over it. I realized the hot pink was not opaque enough to cover the dark blue, so I went over the dark blue with the dotting tool again.

The use of Midnight Mission is a stroke of brilliance, if you don't mind me saying.. Haha. Instead of using a plain old blue, Midnight Mission has a silver shimmer that adds depth to the mani! Love it!

Have you tried this design? What do u think of it?

Cirque Debris over Essie Navigate Her

Got my polish, Essie Navigate Her. It reminded me of China Glaze Re-fresh Mint. I'm not sure how close they are. Got my bottle of Cirque Debris too. Cirque is an indie polish brand that consist of the most original and fascinating polish. I've got 4 bottles in my stash.. and I'm considering if I should get Cirque Dark Horse too.

Anyway, Cirque Debris consists of black square glitter, black hex glitter, small black hex glitter, silver hex glitter, small silver hex glitter, suspended in a holo glitter base. Complicated enough? Awesome enough? Oui!

My cuticles and fingerbeds are sadly dying.. but I put lotion so it looked a little better now.

The glitter is not hard to get out. I got plenty of black squares on my nails.. I admit, I have to fish for them.. and plopped them on my nails.. but then I realized that they came out easily when I tilted the bottle. -.- So it was extremely easy to apply after.

Look out for my other Cirque polishes!!

Smurf Ruffle Mani

This is my second attempt at a Ruffle Mani. The first time I messed up the colors and the polish got so thick at the tips that it was yucky. And the placement of the dots required some practice too. This time, I chose 3 colors only, so that it would not be as confusing. The dots, or ruffles, still need to be perfected, but I think I've mastered the essentials of this technique!!

I did it according to ChalkBoard Nails Ruffle Mani Tutorial.

I painted my nails with OPI Alpine Snow.. Really REALLY hate painting my nails white. *Sigh* Then I grabbed my dotting tool and made layers of dots with OPI No Rooms for the Blues and Rainbow 11. The red could not cover the blue polish completely so there is an odd layer of purple where they meet... I tried to hide that with a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust, but decided that it looks better without the holo glitter. That's why my index-middle finger are glittery, if you are wondering.

Definitely gonna try this again!! This is a little time consuming, but the end product was worth it!

Roses on Go On Green!

Another old mani. I'm dealing with backlog here. Thought I might get rid of this before my new Bundle Monster plates arrived! I'm so excited about it! I'm wondering if I should get the China Glaze Romantique Collection. I'm looking for a good silver and gold stamping polish!

Anyway, this is done with OPI Go On Green, which is stamped over with roses with China Glaze First Mate. It is an awesome stamping polish, First Mate. I'm hoping Passion (from Romantique) would work as well.

Go On Green! is a light blue which changes into green in the light. You can see a hint of the green in the pic below. I seldom use this polish because I'm not into duochrome polishes..

Just Ordered Bundle Monster Plates

I've got Friday and Saturday off, so I'll squeeze a mani out. It's havoc trying to do nail art on weekdays! You should have seen my sweating and swearing! Haha.

I'm dropping a note here because I just ordered Bundle Monster Stamping Plates!!! The 2011 and 2012 versions! OMG. That means no more polish shopping anymore.. Okay fine.. I need more Seche Vite, so I guess Topcoat doesn't count. Anyway, the Bundle Monster Plates are having a 4th of July sale, so it's $2 cheaper than usual, which translates to a total of $4, about S$5 plus. Considering that I spent a total of about S$66, the discount is more than welcome! >.<

Anyway, I've got my bottle of Dots n' Stripes by SparklesbyJulie. I'll take some pics tomorrow. I'll also be getting my next Cirque order tomorrow (Hopefully, I do not want to jinx it), and I'm still waiting for my order from TheHungryAsian. I bought 4 polishes including Sneeze Breeze. All minis, though, because I don't wear glittter much. I wanted order something from LushLacquer but I guess it'll have to next till next month.

Thank god for the Govt's GST Voucher. Though I feel obliged to say 'Can I please have more?' Haha.

I solemnly swear I would not buy anymore nail polish this month!

Leopard Prints with a Twist No.2

Wish I could do a decent write-up for this too! But I've got some decent polishes coming up, so keep a look out ok?

I'm very pleased with this design. It was meant to be an experiment but it turned out more successful than expected. I matched this with my yellow bikin!

Used: Gradient: OPI Panda-monium Pink & OPI Charged Up Cherry
Leopard Prints: China Glaze Lemon Fizz, China Glaze Liquid Leather

How do you wear your Leopard Prints?
